The word chamomile comes from Greek (chamaimlon), “earth-apple”, from (chamai),
“on the ground” “apple”, so called because of the applelike scent of the plant.

Pulsatilla is mild and gentle; Chamomilla is snappish and irritable, both sensitive to pain (Chamomilla more sensitive).
Stool is grass green, or yellow and white, intermingled with grass green mucus felt hot while it passed, smells like sulphuretted hydrogen.
Colic abdomen distended like a drum; ameliorated by warm applications.
Fetid smell from mouth.
Better when carried (colic, bowel troubles, earache, fevers, cold and teething trouble).
Children if healthy (dentition should never be a diseased state, it should always be normal) they would cut teeth without sufferings but in slow teething there is irritable state, over sensitiveness, child can not sleep; wakes up in excitement as if had awful dreams, vomits, has diarrhea with teething.
Children's (impatient and restless; wants to carried about and petted; wants and cries for things and when it gets them it throws them away; children that are especially sensitive to pain, snappish, short and cannot be civil, consequences of anger; start during sleep, the muscles of the hands and face twitch, there may be colic, and the face is red, especially one cheek) colds with stuffed up nostrils (Nux vomica, Sambucus and Sticta.).
The nose is stopped up yet runs a watery mucus; sneezing and inability to sleep; a dry, teasing cough, keeping the child awake, or else a rattling cough, as if the bronchi were full of mucus.

Hot face redness of one side; anything warm taken into the mouth brings on aching in the teeth aggravated in a warm room or getting warm in bed, anything that heats up the body will aggravate this toothache; ameliorated by holding cold drinks in the mouth. Sweat only about the head, the hairy scalp; face sweats after eating or drinking; face red on one side. Pain concerning outer nerves in the face ameliorated by heat; but toothache ameliorated by cold. Heat of the face, while the rest of the body is cold.
Fluent coryza (viscid, acrid) with loss of smell lasting till the cold lasts (face hot on one side, and pains in the head and jaws).
Ears sensitive to air; other parts of the face and head are not sensitive to air; pain in the ears better by heat. Worse when thinking about pain / suffering. Pain in the head when attention directed to it, better by busying the mind or by occupation, doing something, thinking of something else; pains inside of the mouth better by cold but ear pain and pains in sides of the head are ameliorated by heat. Sensitive to cold feels chilly - better from heat.
The pains in general are better by heat, patient himself is better by heat; pains worse by heat are of the teeth. Rheumatic pains (drive the patient out of bed and compel him to walk about; the pain almost drives him crazy) relieved by moving about (Rhus toxicodendron, Ferrum metallicum and Veratrum album - lack the feverishness, excitement and irritability of Chamomilla.).
