Stricture

Pain after stretchesCatheter Fever. Give Aconite-1m before passing a catheter.

Staphisagria-1m or higher for pain after stretches.

Clematis: Urine flows by fits and starts. Has to wait for long time before flow of urine starts.,, Urine turbid and diminished. Difficult to empty the bladder completely.
Tingling in urethra lasting some time after urinating. Frequent, scanty urination; burning at orifice. Interrupted flow. Urethra feels constricted. Urine emitted drop by drop. Inability to pass all the urine; dribbling after urinating. Pain worse at night, pain along the spermatic cord. Commencing stricture. Urine flows by starts, or dribbles; strains out a few drops, then full stream follows. Stricture (Con.). Sleepiness. Indifference. BETTER - Sweat. WORSE - Heat of bed. NIGHT. Cold washing (vesicular skin eruption, herpes zoster and eczema). Light. Moon, < and > with (Phel. Tarn.).
Sycotic constitution. Fears to be alone, yet dreads company.
It resembles Rhus to a great extent in its manifestations. [Croton tig., Rhus, ( Ranunculus- the little buttercup, has cured epithelioma of the lids. It has cured cancerous affections,  it goes deep into the tissues.), Anacardium and Clematis]
In the teeth and jaws the pain is violent, but while the eruption is made worse from cold applications, the pain inside the jaw and the teeth is relieved by cold water held in the mouth, and aggravated violently from heat, and from the warmth of the bed.
The eruption is aggravated from the warmth of the bed, and also from cold washing.
Burning, and smarting of the eyes; worse from closing them. Inflammation of the iris. Eyes inflamed, protruded, dim. Chronic irritation of the lids.
The toothache is tolerable during the day, but as soon as he lies down in bed and assumes a horizontal position it increases to an intolerable degree. Pain in hollow tooth, better by cold water or drawing in cold air.
Swelling of the glands of the groin ( scirrhus, suppressed gonorrhea, rheumatism of the joints). Pain and swelling of the right spermatic cord; this is worse at night, worse from walking and from the warmth of the bed.
There is more trouble in the glands that are on the right side of the body than on the left.
Patient cannot quite empty the bladder. He always feels as if there was a little more, and when he appears to have finished it will keep dribbling away (stricture).
Ulceration and hardness of glands. Scirrhus of the breast with induration and ulceration. Scirrhus of the left mamma with stitches in the shoulder, worse in the night.
She cannot bear to be uncovered.

Carbo veg. Atonic stomach , chronic ulcer , there is delay at the pylorus , a dilated stomach as a result. Ulceration at the cardiac end of the stomach, lower end of the oesophagus, oesophageal carcinomas.
After swallowing their food, patients are filled up almost to bursting point. Patients unable to pass anything - or, possibly, only a little fluid - through the stricture.
Start these oesophageal carcinomas on a low potency.

Conium maculatum
Malignant conditions of the stomach (chronic ulcers that have become malignant, malignant growths round about the pylorus), with secondary deposits in the liver. Dislike of people, want to be left alone and quiet, craving for salt. Do not want to be disturbed, but dislike being entirely alone. Depressed (very quiet, gentle melancholy in Conium; acute mental depression in the sodium patients). Weak (tremulousness), tired out, and any m ental effort is a great strain.
Vertigo, on any sudden movement; on getting up from chair, becomes giddy.
Craving for salt. Aversion to bread.
On swallowing food the patient feels as if it is stuck in his throat ( Natrum mur. - spasm). Conium, as if something rose up from the stomach and blocked the food that was coming down; Natrum mur. as if the oesophagus closed on the food and prevented it passing further. Conium sensation of something rising up into the throat, producing an irritating cough.
Acute heartburn, violent stabbing pains, as if a knife were sticking into the right side of the upper abdomen, passing across to the left side and producing intense nausea, vomiting very stringy (stringy mucus, bile or coffee-ground material) , difficult to get up.
Little time after eating, feel as if the contents of the stomach were being pushed out through a narrowed pylorus, feel a definite lump rising up about the pyloric area.
Liver, is enlarged and irregular, sharp, tearing, stitching pains in the liver. Enlarged abdominal glands , hard lumps in the abdomen, whole abdomen very sensitive. Gastric pains come on about a couple of hours after a meal, and they are all of this forcing character.
Alternate diarrhoea and constipation, very exhausted after the bowels have acted; they feel very shaky and almost faint.
With abdominal carcinomas, there are disturbances of the bladder, a partial paralysis in which the urine stops and starts and they have difficulty in completely emptying the bladder.
Cough associated with gastric discomfort.
Very dry spot in the larynx, which cannot be moistened and sets up a constant, irritating cough.
Conium has nodosities in the female breast, and it is distinguished from Phytolacca - In Conium, here there is stony hardness, and it is less acute than Phytolacca ; in Conium the breasts are exceedingly sensitive, cannot bear the touch of clothes, and walking or jarring is painful. Conium patients cannot endure even the slightest alcoholic drink.
Indurations and enlargement of the ovaries and uterus. Uterine spasms during too early and scanty menses. Great soreness of the breasts. Dwindling of the mammary glands as well as enlargement and indurations. Suppressed menstruation, painful menstruation, throbbing, tearing, burning pains in the uterus and in the ovaries, in the pelvis. Fibroid tumors of the uterus. Cancer of the cervix, indurations and infiltration of the cervix. Indurations and infiltration of tissues that have been inflamed, stenoses apt to form where inflammation has been present. Stricture of the urethra and stenosis of the os uteri.
Conium patient sweats copiously during sleep, on merely closing the eyes s/he will sweat. On closing the eyes preparatory to going to sleep s/he will break out in a sweat.

Graphites
Duodenal ulcer (Little scarring after Graphites). Overweight; they tend to be fat. Pale in colour. Despondent, depressed and lacking in energy. It is not mental stamina they lack, but actual drive, cannot make up their minds, are hesitant in all they do, and worry about their affairs.
Chilly and feel the cold a good deal, but are very sensitive to any stuffy atmosphere or lack of air. Have suffered at some time from some degree of skin disturbance, very often eczematous patches at the back of the ears, digestive upsets with attacks of piles, very troublesome peri-anal fissures, and eczema.
Spoiled stomach which feels just out of order; feel sick and get a good deal of eructation, heartburn, acute griping pain, there may be attacks of vomiting, with the attack of pain and feeling of sickness there is a horrible, sudden sensation of extreme weakness - a feeling as if they were going to faint, vomiting of blood , melaena.
Hunger pains which gradually develop about two hours after food, and are relieved by eating.
Aversion to sweets and salt also, but this is not so marked.
Aversion to animal food. This seems to be more mental than physical, for the patient will often say that the food tastes quite good if they can overcome the aversion, but they shy from taking animal food in any form.
Heartburn, feeling of intense heat in the stomach and throat and a desire for cold drinks, in order to cool down the stomach; but, as a rule, Graphites patients are aggravated by cold food. When they have pain they are relieved by warm drinks, very often especially relieved by warm milk.
Flatulence, a feeling of general abdominal distension with indefinite griping pains, with sudden rush of blood, a sudden flush of heat, to the face and head. With the general abdominal distension they are very intolerant of any tight clothing, it makes them more uncomfortable.
Constipation. No inclination for the bowels to act; followed by a griping, colicky disturbance and then an action of the bowel in which a very large stool accompanied by a quantity of white mucus is passed. Stool pale; black, melaena stools.
Unpleasant taste in the mouth, a bitter, salt taste, little burning blisters on the side of the tongue.
Hyperaesthesia of the sense of smell (odour of flowers), in chronic nasal catarrh the sense of smell is entirely lost; yellowish, excoriating discharge, tendency to develop cracks at the side of the nose, small, eczematous patches.
